EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 1996

Each collegiate chapter meeting the listed performance standards between May 1 and April 30 will be eligible to request presentation of this award to their chapter at the Annual Awards Recognition Ceremony.

1. Promote a positive and professional image for Gamma Iota Sigma on the chapter's home campus as evidenced by:
• Participation in meritorious campus-wide student activities.
• Chapter-sponsored campus or community public service projects.
• Appearance of appropriate professional articles in campus publications.
• Involvement in college’s student governance.
• Selection for academic or leadership recognition.
2. Promote a positive and professional image for Gamma Iota Sigma in the Insurance and Risk Management Business Community as evidenced by:
• Personal contact with specific corporate entities.
• Participation in business community public events.
• Involvement of corporate community in chapter activities.
• Chapter interaction with local chapters of professional societies.
• Distribution of communication publication.
3. Promote a positive and professional image for Gamma Iota Sigma as a national professional fraternity as evidenced by:
• High visibility as a collegiate chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma.
• Members apply for national scholarships and internships.
• Participation in home campus Professional Fraternity Council (if one exists).
