            CHICAGO, ILLINOIS… O’Neill State University, Chicago, Illinois, was the site today of the Third Annual Gamma Iota Sigma Career Fair.  The Career Fair gave students majoring in Risk  Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science the chance to learn about potential job opportunities.  For the companies represented the Fair was helpful in identifying potential future employees.  Thirty-four companies and over 225 students participated.

The Zeta Alpha Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma was chartered at O’Neill State University in 1980.  Chapter members have 17 courses of study specifically related to their career interest.  Chapter Faculty Advisor is Professor Karen A. Winston, Ph.D., CLU.   Chapter President is Dan Rogers.

Gamma Iota Sigma is a member of the Professional Fraternity Association and is the national professional fraternity for college students interested in careers in risk management, insurance and actuarial science.  There are 39 collegiate chapters of the fraternity across the country from New York to California and Minnesota to Louisiana.  Gamma Iota Sigma, founded in 1965, is dedicated to providing a link between the business community and students on college campuses.  Grand Chapter headquarters is located in Columbus, Ohio.
